ELEGIBILITY REQUIRMENTS- 61.103

 

~ 17 years of age

~ English proficient

~ Aeronautical knowledge test endorsement 61.105 (b)

~ Pass aeronautical knowledge test

~ Endorsement and training in Areas Of Operation 61.107 (b)

~ Meet proper aeronautical experience requirements

~ Pass practical test in Areas Of Operation 61.107 (b)

 

 

AERONAUTICAL EXSPIERENCE - 61.109

 

~ 40 hours total flight time

      - 20 hours of flight training

         - 3 hours cross-country flight training

         - 3 hours night flight training

              - Including one cross-country flight over 100 nm total distance

              - 10 takeoffs and landings to a full stop-each with a flight in the traffic pattern at an airport

         - 3 hours of flight trainingon controlling and maneuvering of an aircraft solely by reference to instruments including:

              - Straight-level

              - Constant airspeeds climbs and descents

              - Turns to a heading

              - Unusual attitude recovery

              - Radio communication/navigation systems/facilities

         - 3 hours of flight training in preparation for the practical test within 60 days of the test date

~ 10 hours of solo flight time including:

         - 5 hours of cross-country flight time

         - One cross-country flight of at least 150 nm with full stops at a minimum of 3 points with one segment at least

           50 nm between takeoff and landing

         - Three takeoffs and landings to full stop each with a flight in the traffic pattern at an airport with a operating

           control tower.
