ELEGIBILITY REQUIRMENTS - 61.83

~ 16 years of age

~ English proficient

 

APPLICATION - 61.85

~ An examiner

~ Flight Standards District Office

~ Aviation Medical Examiner- with an FAA medical certificate

 

SOLO REQUIRMENTS FOR STUDENT PILOTS – 61.87

~ Pre-solo aeronautical knowledge test

~ Pre-solo flight training

      - Receive and log flight training for maneuvers and procedures in make and model of airplane to be flown 61.87 (d)

 

STUDENT PILOT OPERATING LIMITATIONS DURING SOLO FLIGHT – (n)

~ Must have an endorsed student pilot certificate for specific make and model

~ Must have a log book endorsement for specific make and model

      - Solo endorsement valid for 90 days

 

NIGHT STUDENT PILOT LIMITATIONS – (o)

~ Receive flight training on night procedures at the airport that the airport that the solo flight will be conducted

      - takeoffs/approaches/landing/go around

~ Navigation training were the solo flight is to be conducted

~ Logbook endorsement for the specific make and model

      - Night solo endorsement valid for 90 days

 

STUDENT PILOT GENERAL LIMITATIONS – 61.89

 

SOLO CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT REQUIRMENTS – 61.93

~ For solo flights to another airport within 25nm from the airport the student normally receives training

~ Flight training received including

      - Flights in both directions/, entering and exiting the traffic pattern/takeoffs and landings at the other airport

~ Logbook endorsement authorizing the flight

      - Endorsed for the specific make and model

      - Endorsed for the authorized cross-country after a review of the students cross-country planning and preparation

~ Student pilot certificate endorsement

      - Signed by an authorized instructor for the category of aircraft to be flown
